Secret Window is based on Stephen King's Novella, "Two Past Midnight: Secret Window, Secret Garden" from the four-part novel "Four Past Midnight."

The story follows the suddenly strange life of writer Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp), recently divorced, depressed, and alone on the shore of Tashmore Lake. Alone, that is, until a figure named John Shooter (John Turturro) arrives, pointing an accusing finger.
