| John and Lisa Graham plan to spend their summer in Willow, a tiny little town in the middle of nowhere where they rented a house from an acquaintance. After getting lost for several hours, they finally find the almost-deserted town.
Some of the locals give them a warning. Leave Willow for the night... and avoid the "Rainy Season". John and Lisa decide to ignore what they think is just a prank, and quickly find out that they've unwillingly become pawns in a deadly ritual.
Based on a short story by Stephen King, which first appeared in the spring 1989 issue of the "Midnight Graffiti" magazine, Rainy Season is a quirky tribute to classic horror movies from the '50s by first-time writer/director Nick Wauters.
Wauters immediately fell in love with "Rainy Season" when he first read it nearly ten years ago. After a few years of writing scripts and editing television shows, Wauters picked "Rainy Season" for his directorial debut. Thanks to a team of devoted and talented friends and a small budget saved up over the past several years, Wauters spent 3 days shooting at the Paramount Ranch in the Santa Monica mountains in April 2002.
