Synopsis
This dollar baby is based on one of the earliest King's writings. The short story "I've Got To Get Away!" was first published in a collection "People, Places And Things - Vol I" by Steve King and Chris Chesley under their own imprint "Triad Publishing Company" in 1960. There are no surviving copies of that publication known. However in 1985 King had found a 1963 reprint of this collection (with one page missing which had two more King stories on it; "I'm Falling" and "Dimension Warp"). So far it seems that Stephen King has the only surviving copy of this book.

Denny Phillips finds himself on the assembly line of an Atomic Factory, and he is being held prisoner by the guards around him. Denny tries to escape and is shot in the process, but it's then that we find that Denny is not human - he is a robot that has achieved human consciousness.
