The Complete Guide to the Works of Stephen King

The first resource with every bit of info in one Publication:
No book since Spignesi's "The Shape Under the Sheet' (last updated in 1990) has ever attempted to summarise every story, every character, every place, and the entire timeline of King's work. The simple fact is that this information has not been available in any one place - until now. Users may have access to other resources to look up the details of very major characters (Jack Torrance, for instance) or to get a high-level summary on a major town (Castle Rock or Derry) or yet other resources for a short summary of various books or stories. This CD-Rom includes full details of every King work up to and including 'The Tale of Gray Dick' and will include all Works published through the end of March 2003. The material included in the CD-Rom equates to some 3000 pages of normally printed Book material!

About the Authors:
All three of the authors are King experts as well as self-confessed fans of King's work, going back as far as King's first prominence in the late 1970s. In mid-2000 Rocky Wood, David Rawsthorne and Norma Blackburn met for the first time and decided to proceed with the massive task of securing and summarising every Work of Stephen King.

Cataloguing King's body of work and then summarising individual stories proceeded apace. Meanwhile, it was necessary to secure the more obscure Works from sources worldwide. A significant portion of King's Work has never been published in the mass market (or at all, in the commercial sense). Over the next 2½ years we were able to secure the great majority of even the most obscure items, including many Screenplays which have never been published or produced. As each item was received it was lovingly summarised and added to the burgeoning indices.

Rocky Wood has been an avid King reader for 25 years. His collection of King materials specialises in the print media. As the coordinator of the Complete Guide project from his home in Melbourne, Australia he is supervising the final compilation of each Work Summary and the overall Indices necessary to make it a true reference work. Rocky has directly compiled many of the Summaries and will serve as overall Editor of the work. Rocky has been a senior executive in major corporations such as UPS and Australia Post and has lived and worked in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Asia and North America. As a college student and for some years thereafter he moonlighted as a freelance journalist and has maintained his interest in writing throughout his business career. A New Zealander, Rocky now lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid Rugby fan (looking forward to the All Blacks basing themselves in Melbourne for the 2003 World Cup) and works as an independent business consultant.

David Rawsthorne has been reading King since he received a copy of Christine in 1984. He has collected every book, short story, interview, and movie he could find, and now has a diverse selection of King material. David started a Stephen King website in late 1997, which was later moved to a new URL: www.horrorking.com, and has proven extremely popular with King fans worldwide. The experience gained from horrorking.com has allowed David to design and run many websites for companies as well as friends. He currently administers 7 websites for others, as well as regularly helping with problems on other sites. David has worked in the New South Wales electricity Industry for over 16 years, and lives in Lithgow, Australia with his wife and two children. He enjoys family history, and regularly takes trips throughout Australia to further his knowledge of the family.

Having first read Carrie as a teenager, Norma Blackburn has been a Stephen King fan for around 25 years. Her extensive King collection includes printed, audio and video works. Norma has also maintained a Stephen King web page for a number of years at King of Horror. A full time mother, Norma lives in Newcastle, Australia with her husband and three of their four daughters. She spends her spare time making miniatures, researching her family tree and working on her numerous web pages. Norma is an expert on King's 'fictional' town of Castle Rock, Maine.
